I found this amazing sitting spot after
on my way back from hiking the Crimson Trail up Logan Canyon. The Crimson Trail is a great hike for anyone looking for an over look of the canyon below. The trail starts at the Spring Hallow Campground and works its way up to a cliff band that over looks the valley below. The hike to the top of the trail can be a little tuff because it is a very steep assent. The hike can also be a little terrifying at times because the trail is not much wider then your feet with a pretty steep slope so if you miss place your feet you could end up tumbling down a couple hundred feet. Once you make it passed the switch backs however the trail levels out and you walk along a cliff over looking logan valley below. The views from up there are some of the best I have seen of logan canyon. Once you have made it to the end of the Crimson Trail you make your way back down another steep trail back to the bottom of the canyon. Once you are back down there is a trail that follows along the river. This is where I found this great bench worth sitting on.
The bench is along the south side of the Logan River. The bench sits on the trail looking at the river. With all the trees and the rushing of the water you can not hear or see the road on the other side. Y
ou completely feel like you are alone with nature. The bench is a great
place to come and relax and just think about life. While sitting the surroundings are so amazing it seems to just make your troubles melt away. Just sitting on the bench and being able to look at the river as it passes by with trees over your head is very calming to ones sole. After you are done sitting you can continue on your way on the path and it loops you back to Spring Hollow Campground.
The hike up the Crimson Trail can be very hard and maybe not be for every one especially those with fear of heights. If you still want to go the bench however I would recommend going on the trail that leads on along the river and then turn around and come back to your car. the trail along the river is still beautiful walk and very peaceful. Over all I would give this bench 9 out of ten stars.
